Diamond Grove Adventures is an adventure park built with the enjoyment of everyone in mind, no matter what age or ability. Our park is wheelchair and stroller friendly with immersive activities for the entire family to enjoy together.
We are located in Diamond, MO. Just a short drive east of Joplin, MO.
The Diamond Grove Railroad Adventure is a half mile scenic railroad loop through woodland and prairie on historic American forged steel rail. Our railroad was hand built with rail from companies like Bethlehem Steel and Carnegie Steel, some rail pieces being over 100 years old. Powered by a historic repurposed Plymouth Locomotive, visitors ride the rails in oversized mining-themed ore cars on a 3-foot gauge railroad.
Persimmon Acres Mini Ranch is a fun family experience where you can interact with friendly miniature farm animals. Our mini corral that sits next to the oak timber frame monitor-style barn is an excellent place to feed and pet some new friends. Our mini ranch is home to dwarf Nigerian goats, miniature donkeys and Demi the miniature pony.
This natural playscape is a fun and unique place for all ages to explore. Climb the large hills, slide down the underground tubes, and crawl through buried tunnels. Prairie Hills gives families a place for active play, an amazing photo setting, and a scenic place for a picnic.
Strike it rich at the Diamond Grove Mining Adventure! Select your bag of mining rough and head out to the mining sluice under the shaded tree canopy to unearth your treasure. An exciting activity for young and old to pan for gems and fossils that you can take home and enjoy for years.
Fire in the hole! The Big Jump is a 14′ jumping platform overlooking an enormous inflated pillow that allows for a safe escape from the blast! This mining themed attraction is a thrill that allows you to look over the entire park with our large American flag in the background.
This beautiful 500lb bronze bell towers over the center of the park. It was cast in 1881 by LM Rumsey Bell Foundry in St. Louis, MO. The bell was meticulously restored to how the original would work and took nearly a year to restore by friend of the park, Jeff Phillips. We ring the bell periodically throughout the day for park guests to hear. It is the center hub of the park where all the adventure paths converge.
An area favorite and tradition since 1953, Whisler’s offers old fashioned burgers available for a picnic in the park or pick up to go. Try a traditional burger or signature combinations like “Pig ‘n’ Bull” or “Sow ‘n’ Cow” along with a variety of chips and fountain drinks. Open year round Monday – Saturday 11AM -7PM
